DDA
You will soon notice a new “Welcome to Auburn” sign installed on the corner of Garfield and Midland.
The Auburn Downtown Development Authority (DDA) has financed the construction of the welcome sign, streetlights and landscaping for a more modern urban “downtown” design.
The work will be completed concurrently with the redevelopment of the vacant gas station into a new gas station/convenience/take-out restaurant facility.
The following is planned: The planting of 23 tress and over 70 bushes along with various perennial flowers and ground cover. Installation of metal fencing and decorative piers. Installing 10 new streetlights and removing the old lights. New planting beds around the sign and refurbishing the old Auburn Plaza sign.
